What is Tricking?
Tricking is a sport that blends martial arts kicks, gymnastics flips, and dance elements to create creative, challenging, and fun combos. Born from sport karate competitions, tricking has become one of the most advanced forms of movement and specialties of flipping athletes. Tricking pulls skills from disciplines like tae kwon do, karate, gymnastics tumbling, capoeira, and breakdancing.
Why try tricking?
Tricking is a free sport that uses no equipment, just your body and mind! A creative and dynamic athlete can thrive in tricking.
Tricking is an individualized pursuit of skills, there’s no inherent score, no direct path to take, just the blend of skills that you enjoy and want to challenge yourself with. Looking for competitions? There are one-on-one tricking battles, team battles, and personal records to challenge a tricker.
Who doesn’t want to learn flips? Also the agility, coordination, and skill building natural learned while tricking can translate into any other sport.
Who are we?
Colorado Tricking is one of Americas largest tricking communities. Hosting CLASSES, TRAINING SESSIONS, and EVENTS for the Tricking community. 30+ sessions available per week, 9 classes available for youth and adults, and over 200 trickers in our community. Join us for a session!
Our goal is to open a Tricking Gym for the Colorado Tricking community. We aim to provide Classes, Sessions, and Events for the Trickers in Colorado!
Your coaches
Charlie Grenhart (left) and Alex Kerwood (right) have a combined 30 years of tricking experience and 20 years of coaching experience. From engaging and fun youth classes to coaching the advanced skills, these coaches have a drill or training method for pretty much every trick out there.
Both Charlie and Alex have been immersed in the tricking culture and know how to relay the tricking history in their lessons to give knowledgable, well practiced methods of coaching.
